Democracy For All Florida joined Equal Ground, the NAACP, and the Florida Panhandle Coalition for Civic Engagement on a Day At the Capitol Lobby Day.
We organized to bring over 20 community members from South Florida to share their concerns with lawmakers on key legislative issues, such as the proposal to raise the threshold of votes to amend the state constitution and a bill that would eliminate diversity programs and critical race theory from higher education. Members had the opportunity to engage directly with legislators, speak at committee meetings, and learn about priority bills during partner meetings in a reserved space at the Capitol.
