Florida Conservation Voters is proud to announce our first candidate endorsement of the 2020 election cycle: Sen. José Javier Rodríguez. This name shouldn’t come as a surprise, as he has been the leading voice in the fight against climate change in the Florida Legislature and a staunch defender of voting rights and our democracy.
Sen. Rodríguez has been a friend and an ally in our work at the Capitol since FCV’s inception and we couldn’t be more excited to have him as our first endorsement this year. Representing coastal Miami-Dade County, Sen. Rodríguez has a first-hand understanding of many of the challenges facing Florida. Thankfully, the Senator has always had an open door to the environmental community and he has helped facilitate numerous policy discussions and roundtables to work through issues with stakeholders and advocates.
