Florida Conservation Voters Hires Veteran Communications and Campaign Professional as Deputy Director
Jonathan Webber set to lead political and outreach strategy for growing environmental organization.
Tallahassee, FL (August 18, 2016) – Florida Conservation Voters (http://live-florida-conservation-voters.pantheonsite.io) announced today that Jonathan Webber has joined the organization as Deputy Director. Webber is a veteran campaign and communications professional, spending much of his career working at the intersection where politics and conservation meet in Florida.
Webber’s responsibilities include developing and implementing campaign strategies to elect pro-conservation candidates who will protect Florida’s waters, natural areas, and quality of life.
“Jonathan brings an enormous level of creativity and political savvy to FCV,” said Aliki Moncrief, FCV executive director. “We are delighted to have him join the team as we work to make sure the pro-solar Amendment 4 initiative and our endorsed candidates succeed in the August 30 primary.”
Webber joined FCV from Audubon Florida, where he worked for six years as conservation campaign manager and communications manager. He earned a Master of Science in Political Science from the Florida State University in 2009 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University in 2008.

Florida Conservation Voters started as a coalition of Florida’s conservation community united towards one goal: passing Amendment 1, the Water and Land Conservation Amendment. Now our goal is to elect the best public officials who will enact sound policies that ensure our cherished, yet vulnerable, natural lands and waters are protected. We will elect, educate, and hold elected officials accountable for their conservation and environmental policy votes. For more information, visit www.fcvoters.org.
