Natural Scientist, Puerto Rico Manatee Conservation Center
Growing up, I was always interested in wildlife and marine life. This interest eventually turned into passion and led me to pursue undergraduate studies in Natural Sciences with a minor in Marine Biology. I became part of the Puerto Rico Manatee Conservation Center’s rehabilitation technician team during this stage, and had the opportunity to work with manatees, sea turtles, pelicans, and birds of prey. I also had the chance of gaining experience in Colombia, working along side veterinarians on rescue and release projects with a diversity of wild animals. I cherish my role as a conservationist and aspire to motivate others in the field of science and wildlife protection.
