Celebrating conservation victories up and down the ballot!

published on: August 24, 2022

Last night was a big election night in Florida. Primaries and local government races were on the ballot across the state, and Conservation Voters have much to be proud of.

Thanks to your help and support, we are proud to announce the following significant wins for our FCV-endorsed candidates:

Congressman Charlie Crist: Democratic Nominee for Governor

Sarah Henry: Democratic Nominee for FL House District 38

Rep. Michele Rayner: Democratic Nominee for FL House District 62

Rep. Angie Nixon: Democratic Nominee for FL House District 13

Commissioner Jeremy Matlow: Tallahassee City Commission Seat 3*

*Jeremy Matlow won this seat outright and will not face a second election in November.

Congratulations to all the candidates and their supporters for their hard work. Now our efforts shift to the November general election, which will include many of FCV’s other endorsed candidates who did not have primary elections last night.

Florida needs and deserves dedicated conservation champions at every level of government. Stay tuned over the coming weeks for ways you can help. Together, we are making a difference for Florida!
