Clean water and healthy ecosystems are threatened more and more. Conservation is so important because the next generations deserve to inherit the intact and healthy natural resources we have been so fortunate to rely upon, observe, and enjoy. A way that I like to help is by volunteering with The Florida Springs Institute and leading a group of volunteers for one of their SpringsWatch programs. On a monthly basis we track snail populations, test water visibility, and count fish to get an overall biomass which helps tell an important story about the health and well-being of the ecosystem.
