“This year, the legislative budget process itself has been less than transparent but now, with the appropriations bill in hand, we at least have the numbers to rely on. And the numbers don’t lie — environmental spending has been cut by just over $372 million from last year. Hardest hit is the Department of Environmental Protection. With the challenges facing our state, we should be focusing more resources on environmental protection, not less.”
