On July 9, we asked Florida Conservation Voters members to submit public comments to the FDEP Blue-Green Algae Task Force. Over six short days, we were able to gather over 1,050 signatures!
As we excitedly watched the number of messages sent climb and climb, we witnessed just how committed our members are to land and water conservation. Our collective message was clear: the Task Force must prioritize land conservation as a longterm water quality solution.
Public comments are crucial for holding government accountable. By raising our voices, we remind our government and elected officials that they work for We the People. When we speak up, we make a resounding call for change. As Conservation Voters, we know that dirty water puts our lives and loved ones at risk. With voices like yours, we defend water, wildlife, and the Florida we love.
