Two Pinellas women looking to end the anti-environmental agenda in Tallahassee.
Tallahassee, FL (September 13, 2018) – Today, Florida Conservation Voters is proud to announce our endorsement of Lindsay Cross for State Senate District 24 and Jennifer Webb for State House District 69.
“The unfolding disaster on the shores of Pinellas County is a stark reminder that we need legislators in Tallahassee who truly understand the vital role that our beaches and coastal waters play in our everyday lives,” said Aliki Moncrief, Executive Director, Florida Conservation Voters. “The quality of life that Florida’s natural environment affords has made our state the envy of the world. Lindsay Cross and Jennifer Webb are strong environmental leaders and I trust them to protect Florida’s water, wildlife, and public lands.”
Florida is suffering from one of the worst environmental disasters in state history. The toxic blue-green algae from Lake Okeechobee and Red Tide on the Gulf Coast are wreaking havoc on our coasts. Businesses are losing money, tourists are cancelling vacations, and marine wildlife species are suffering terrible deaths at astounding numbers.
“Cross and Webb will be a dynamic duo at the Capitol. Residents from all over Tampa Bay will benefit from their environmental vision and unflappable leadership,” added Moncrief.
