La Mesa Boricua de Florida, Chispa Florida and Del Ambiente presented a list of community-based organizations in Puerto Rico for donations.

Orlando, FL-– Today, it’s a sad day for all Puerto Ricans. Today we remember the 3,000 lives lost during the aftermath of Hurricane María. Still healing from the devastation of Hurricane Maria five years ago, most residents woke up today without power and water service amid Hurricane Fiona’s impact.

How can we help Hurricane Fiona victims right now? The fastest way is to send money. “I lived through the impact of Hurricane María, and we know what the residents of the Island are experiencing and feeling. That is why we have worked to compile this list of local organizations that donors can trust with their cash donations or items, knowing that everything will reach its destination,” said Krizia López Arce with Chispa Florida and La Mesa Boricua de Florida.

In Puerto Rico, grassroots organizations directly help impacted communities. La Mesa Boricua de Florida, Chispa Florida, and Del Ambiente curated a list of trusted organizations you can donate to assist with their relief efforts.
