One of my family’s favorite summer places to cool down is Wakulla Springs. Just a few miles south of Tallahassee, Wakulla Springs is a great place to picnic, swim, or take a boat ride down Wakulla River and see one of Florida’s oldest cypress swamps. If you can handle the chill, the water is always an invigorating 70 degrees. The diving platform is a great thrill for those looking for an adrenaline rush, and the floating docks are great for soaking up the sun. You might even spot a manatee nosing around the seagrasses if you’re lucky!
