Last week, Laura Ciociola, Olivia Nedd and I were fortunate enough to attend two retreats in Albuquerque, New Mexico with our national affiliate, League of Conservation Voters. The first half of the week was the CHISPA Civic Engagement retreat. We discussed diversity, justice, inclusion, and reaching all corners of the growing Conservation Voters Movement. It was an enlightening and humbling experience, as well as a good time to commune and work toward a broader and stronger movement. The second half of the week we focused on how to revamp and reignite the Clean Energy for All campaign throughout the country. Using a regional approach, we came up with some of the best ways to spread the message of clean energy in our increasingly divisive landscape.
We believe that with patience, coordination, and some good old-fashioned hard work, we will be able to get all of our goals accomplished and help save our planet for posterity. I know some results from the past few months are discouraging, but the passion for a cleaner and more equitable future is unchanged. We hope that you will join us in the journey to a cleaner and brighter tomorrow – it feels closer than ever before.
