This past weekend, I was able to attend the Second Chances convening here in Orlando with a joint goal to pass Amendment 4 here in Florida. This amendment would give more than 1.4 million Floridians their right to vote back after they have served their time and paid their debts to society. This has been a cause that has taken over 6 years to get on the ballot and through the power of narrative and on the ground organizing, that time is now! Our goal is for our message to reach a host of new and diverse groups in order to make sure that all Floridians have access to the ballot. We must remember that voting is one of the best ways to ensure environmental protection.
