Environmental Scientist Lindsay Cross Joins Florida Conservation Voters

Environmental policy non-profit hires Government Relations Director

TALLAHASSEE – Florida Conservation Voters (FCV), an environmental policy non-profit, has hired environmental scientist Lindsay Cross as its full-time Government Relations Director. Cross will communicate and coordinate with governmental partners and legislators as an advocate for conservation lands, clean water, climate action and clean energy, and civic engagement. Cross joins the organization after an 18-year career in environmental science and policy.

“Lindsay is a true conservation champion and advocate,” said Aliki Moncrief, FCV Executive Director. “Lindsay’s extensive experience and knowledge about our state’s ecology and politics will be key in gathering partners, rallying the public, and communicating urgency to lawmakers. We couldn’t be more delighted to have her on the team.”

In 2018, Lindsay ran for the Florida State Senate District 24 with a focus on protecting the environment and improving public education. She previously served as Executive Director of the Florida Wildlife Corridor where she guided the organization’s strategic vision for a statewide connected corridor of land and water.

Cross has also worked as Tampa Bay Estuary Program’s Environmental Science and Policy Manager. During her 14-year career at TBEP, she coordinated multi-entity habitat restoration and water quality improvement projects.

She holds a BS in Environmental Health from Colorado State University and an MS in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of South Florida.
